Message from your Relief Society Presidency

Sisters,

Here are some announcements for your information:

*Relief Society "Souper Bowl" Acitivity, Tuesday, January 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the Primary room.

We will be having a friendly soup tasting contest. Sign up to bring a soup

in either of 4 categories: Chili, Stew, Veg/Meat, or Cream. Bring any condiments that

go with your soup. Top recipe will be featured on our Visiting Teaching message in Feb or March.

Please send your recipe by e-mail to Robin Monson: robmon01@yahoo.com so she can post them on our

Relief Society Blog so everyone can print the recipes for their own file; LC20RS.blogspot.com

*We as a presidency would like to thank each visiting teacher for your dedication in reaching out

to your sisters. We love and appreciate all that you do. Thank you for helping us reach our goal in

December and for your gift to the Savior to insure that every sister was visited.

*Our Ward Relief Society theme for the year is "Believing Christ" and scripture 3 Nephi 20:31

*We are going to be celebrating each sisters birthday this year with a quarterly party. Those that

have birthdays in January or February, remember to mark your calendar and come to your party on

Wednesday, February 15th at 6:30. More information will follow.

Relief Society Lessons: We will resume studying the Teachings of Presidents of the Church, beginning with George Albert Smith on the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of the month. If you have not received your copy of the Relief Society manual for 2012, please see a member of the Relief Society presidency. We encourage all women in the ward to study this inspired manual, regardless of whether you are able to attend Sunday Relief Society meetings or not.

December Activities

The Relief Society Christmas Dinner is being combined with the Ward Christmas Party on Saturday, December 3rd at 6:00.

Single Sisters Activity: First Presidency Devotional, leaving for conference center at 4:15. Look for sign up in Relief Society or contact Robin if you want to attend.

Relief Society Activity

Don't forget Tuesday, October 18th is the October Relief Society Activity at 7:00pm. There will be a cookie exchange and a pie demonstration by Melanie and Greg Liddiard. Please come and enjoy the company of the sisters in the ward.
Also all of the crafts for the November Super Saturday will be on display, so make sure you sign up!!

Tami Searle has extra squash, tomatoes, and cucumbers from her garden she would love to share. If you would like any of her garden produce please contact her.
